Dan joined the team in April 2016, as a part-time admin assistant while completing his studies at Waikato Uni. From the outset, he demonstrated a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in helping clients navigate the lending process.

After graduating in 2019, Dan stepped into a permanent role with the team and progressed into a Senior Loan Writer position. In this role he refined his expertise in structuring lending solutions, managing complex applications, and supporting clients through every stage of their home ownership journey. His commitment to professional growth and delivering outstanding client outcomes saw him continue to advance within the business.

In 2024, Dan became a fully qualified Mortgage Adviser and a partner and Director of Caldwell Mortgage Advice Limited. As part of the leadership team, he is focused on maintaining high standards of service, building lasting client relationships, and guiding the company’s continued growth.

Having stepped onto the property ladder himself in 2021, Dan understands every aspect of emotions that come with building and owning a new home. This personal experience fuels his passion for working with first home buyers and helping them confidently take their first step into property ownership. His disciplined approach, clear communication style, and strong work ethic make him an invaluable asset to both the team and the clients he supports.

#Funfacts: Dan was a competitive swimmer until his early 20’s. At the age of 17 & 18 he was ranked number one in NZ in consecutive years for the 50m & 100m Freestyle. In 2018 he made the NZ swim team to compete in Papua New Guinea at Oceania’s, where he came home with 5 Gold medals. He still currently holds several Waikato Age group Records.
